Joseph is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of North Texas. He served as an officer in both public and private companies before he established his accounting firm in Dallas in 1985 to specialize in tax issues and business advisory services.

Joseph’s extensive professional affiliations enable him to stay abreast of developments in tax laws and accounting practices. He is one of a select few CPAs selected to advise the IRS on tax administration matters as a member of the IRS Practices and Procedures Committee of the American Institute of CPAs. In 2015 he was selected as the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts’ Outstanding Member and was featured in the Third Quarter 2015 edition of the Association News. He was appointed to the American Institute of CPAs’ Tax Practice and Procedures Committee for the 2018-19 committee year. His professional leadership roles include serving on the Board of Directors of the Texas Society of CPAs, serving as chairman of the Relations with IRS Committee and as member of the Ethics Committee of the Texas Society of CPAs.

Joseph continues to publish articles on issues such as taxation, estate valuation, and foreign asset disclosure. His article Will your next tax appeal be a videoconference? was published in AICPA’s The Tax Adviser and featured in the October 2016 CPA Letter Daily.

Joseph has extensive expertise and experience advising clients who are buying or selling a business. He was among the first in the country elected to the elite Ambassadors Editorial Board of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts. He has been a board member of their Ethics Oversight Board and served on their QuickRead Editorial Board.

He is active in the North Texas business community, having served on various boards, including the City of Dallas Permits and Licenses Appeal Board, Consolidated Economic Development Board, and Love Field Economic Development Board.
